Christmas Brunch With The Family

Christmas Brunch With The Family

Written by

There’s nothing quite like Christmas morning. As children, we could barely wait until those first rays of sunshine let us know it was time to rouse our sleepy parents to witness the magic that had transpired while we slept. We’d tug on their hands and rush them to the living room where cheerful lights would illuminate the piles of presents under the tree.

As adults, we know that Christmas morning magic doesn’t just happen. It takes weeks of careful planning and preparation. While we can still share in the wonder of the season, we are often overwhelmed by all the work leading up to it. Christmas afternoon is the perfect time to treat yourself and your guests to a simple, but satisfying brunch.

If Christmas morning is the main event, think of Christmas brunch as the relaxing afterparty… a chance to catch your breath, linger with your loved ones, and truly savor the moment. Delicious, easy-to-make recipes, along with our beautiful Stone + Lain sets will provide the ideal backdrop for lasting holiday memories.

Our Gabrielle Bone China Dinnerware Set is the perfect palette for your brunch delights. The Gabrielle Christmas dinnerware is elegant and timeless, featuring a delicate rim that comes in three different colors: platinum, gold, or classic white.

An Enchanted Pink Brunch

After the bold reds and greens of Christmas morning, you may be ready for something a little softer. Pink is a color that symbolizes love and kindness, a fitting way to commemorate the generosity of the season and highlight the sweet delights of your Christmas food.

Choose a basic white tablecloth as the backdrop for our Gold Rim Gabrielle Set. Pink napkins and matching pink cups will further complement the setting. Complete the rosy fairytale aura with a variety of shiny pink baubles such as rose gold ornaments, metallic beads, and glitter vases. In just a matter of minutes, you’ll have a uniquely festive table for your Christmas meal.

To play off the whimsy of this setting, try this easy-to-make, 4 ingredient show stopper drink:

Pink Strawberry Dalgona

The trendy Dalgona Coffee is an easy and beautiful whipped iced coffee that recently graced all of our social media feeds. The pink version of this famous drink is even more visually appealing, yet just as delicious and simple to make as the original.

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream (for a vegan alternative use coconut cream)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered freeze-dried strawberries (or easily substitute with any powdered strawberry milk)
  • 1 cup of milk (for a vegan alternative use almond milk)
  • Ice cubes

Using a hand mixer, on high speed beat the whipping cream until it reaches stiff peaks (about 5 minutes).

Add the sugar and the freeze-dried strawberries and beat at low speed until incorporated. Beat a few more minutes until glossy.

Fill a glass with 3-4 ice cubes and milk until it’s about ¾ full.

Top with your strawberry whipped cream and enjoy with a straw.

An Airy Christmas Brunch

For a look that is both classic and contemporary, try our Platinum Rim Gabrielle Set. This Christmas table setting is certain to impress. Use a classic white tablecloth with silver accents and ivory napkins to accentuate the festive sheen of the plates.

Silver tree ornaments, pine cone candles, and greenery branches are the perfect Christmas table decorations to highlight this exquisite setting.

After days of cooking and cleaning, the last thing you need is another shopping trip or a complicated meal to plan. For a delicious, easy-to-make meal, use the leftover bread from Christmas dinner to make a decadent French Toast your guests will relish.

French Toast Sticks

  • White Bread
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Maple syrup or honey to serve (optional)

Slice the bread into 2/3” thick slices and cut each slice into 3 sticks.

Combine the milk, eggs, and salt in a bowl.

Combine the cinnamon and sugar on a plate.

Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Roll the sticks of bread in the egg mixture and place them in the pan, turning to cook each side until golden.

Transfer the sticks to the plate with the cinnamon sugar to coat them. Serve on one of our festive Christmas dinner sets for a sumptuous holiday meal.
